St, Patty's Day Cocktails

St. Patrick’s Day is one of the biggest drinking days of the year. It’s a great tradition and the perfect excuse to eat, drink and dress in all green. Although green beer, Guinness and Irish Car Bombs are typically the most popular drink choices for the holiday, there are plenty of green cocktails you can make yourself to get in the Irish spirit!

10. Irish Mojito

With the perfect amount of lime and mint, this drink is typically a shade of green. To make this drink an even darker and more festive green, add a splash of crème de menthe for some extra mint flavor. It sinks to the bottom of the drink and gives it a cool, almost ombre, look. Put it in a martini glass and garnish with a lime wedge.

9. Green Bloody Mary

It may seem odd that a drink made from tomato juice and hot sauce could be anything but red, but by using tomatillos, cucumber and green hot sauce, you can make this classic as green as you’d like! The rest of the ingredients stay the same and this is a great cocktail to have for St. Patrick’s Day or maybe even the day after when you’re really feeling hungover.

8. Sparkling Shamrock Champagne

Champagne is always a great way to celebrate any type of occasion. What makes this champagne special is that it’s made with melon liqueur and chunks of honeydew pieces so it has that special green tint. Garnish the rim with green sugar for a sweet touch.

7. Mint Chocolate Shamrocktini

This drink has all the wonderful tastes of mint chocolate you could ask for. With crème de menthe, crème de cacao, vodka and some 7-Up, you get a perfectly green martini!

6. Sparkling Green Sangria

Sangria is always a favorite with its chunks of delicious fruit and sparkling taste. Make this sangria green by adding chunks of cucumbers, green grapes, Granny Smith apples and limes. Make a huge pitcher and serve to your guests for a guaranteed hit!

5. Sparkling Leprechaun Kiss

With this clever cocktail name, you’re guaranteed some extra luck. Sour apple pucker, lemon juice and lemon-lime soda make this a deliciously sour green cocktail perfect for any St. Patrick’s Day celebration.

4. Irish Trash Can

What could be better than a green drink with a full Red Bull as a garnish? This special cocktail has a bunch of different types of alcohol in it, including some peach flavor. Mix them together for a drink that’s guaranteed to keep you going all day long.

3. Dandy Candy Vodka Shots

Get as creative as you’d like with these decorative shots. The candy vodka will definitely take some extra time to make, but it’s completely worth the wait. By infusing vodka of your choice with green candies like Sour Patch Kids, jelly beans, Laffy Taffys and AirHeads, you get an extra special candy flavor that’s well worth the time it takes to make these shots. Dip the rims of the shot glasses in chocolate, sprinkles or edible glitter for an awesome looking shot!

2. Magically Delicious Martini

This is bound to be a huge hit for those who are still kids at heart. The drink itself is simple with vodka, light crème, crème de menthe and crème de cacao, but what makes it a perfect drink for St. Patrick’s Day is the Lucky Charms marshmallow-lined rim. It’ll be impossible to not eat the lucky marshmallows immediately when consuming this cocktail.

1. Green Beer

Now this may be extremely simple and typical, but everyone knows the best part of celebrating St. Patrick’s Day is ice cold green beer. All you need is your favorite light-colored beer, some food coloring and a pint glass of your choice for this simple favorite. St. Patrick’s Day just wouldn’t be the same without some green beer.
